We care very deeply about your privacy.

With two specific exceptions and in both cases we will ask your permission, we will not tell anyone anything about you as an individual.

We may share with food companies what we learn about your likes and dislikes and where you shop in an aggregated format. Aggregated information contains nothing to identify you personally. Readers, like you, frequently tell us specific thoughts on specific products. We may share those opinions with food companies in an unattributed form. Food companies use what we learn primarily to make their products more like you would like and make sure they are sold where you shop.

If a quality-control situation occurs (e.g., a product recall) with a product you use and you have joined our mailing list or e-mailed us, we may ask for your permission to have the food company to get in touch with you directly to resolve the situation. Only with your permission, will we let them know how they can contact you.

If you ask us to help you tell a nearby supermarket to carry a product and we receive your permission, we may tell the store your name and how they can get in touch with you.
