The pineapples in Thailand are sweeter than
any I've had here in the US and do not seem as acidic. If you go to Thailand, fresh pineapple is
a must, especially since they can be as cheap as $1 each.
When I was growing up, my school
would cook pineapple curry with mussels. Pineapple is rarely used in cooking, but frequently is
eaten for dessert.
