I am glad that okra or grajiab in Thailand are available everywhere in the US. It can be fried, cooked in sour curry (gang som) and as eaten raw as an accompanying vegetable to nam prig dishes.
If you ask for grajiab in markets in Thailand, you might be asked, "which kind?" You can be asking for the flower/fruit that is turned into hibiscus tea.
