Fried garlic is used in noodle soup and variety of other dishes. I discovered a quick way to make fried garlic. Press a big clove of garlic with garlic presser into a small cup. If you don't have a garlic presser, mince the garlic with a knife instead. Add 2 tablespoons of oil. Microwave for 30 seconds --depending on your microwave, it might take more or less than 30 seconds. Also keep in mind that it will continue to cook in the hot oil afterward. The goal is to have the golden color. It keeps for a very long time. Traditionally, people would mince garlic and fry it in a pan. You would have to stir the garlic constantly and take it out at the right time. Then, you would have to wash the pan. Cooking it in the microwave saves a lot of time and more environmentally friendly.
